Los Angeles native Holly Conlan found a distinct niche in Hollywood's expansive music community.
She received her first national exposure after releasing Bird in 2008, with the languid piano and soaring cellos of "Winter", and upbeat smirk of "OK" appearing in hit shows like One Tree Hill, 90210, Drop Dead Diva, Ghost Whisperer, The Ex List, and Privileged. That summer, "You Are Goodbye" was awarded iTunes Single of the Week spot, and its heartbreaking lyric and haunting production won her a slew of new fans. She was soon offered a spot on the soundtrack of The Other Woman, starring Natalie Portman. LA-based KCRW put her in regular rotation on the radio (top tune: "OK"), and featured her in their pledge drives.
Supported by LA's famed Hotel Cafe, Holly's been lucky to share the stage with performers including Sara Bareilles, Colbie Caillat, Katy Perry, Cary Brothers and Butch Walker. As part the Hotel Cafe Tour, she traded sets with Ingrid Michaelson, Meiko and Erin McCarley. Her rendition of "I'll be Home for Christmas" joined artists like Fiona Apple and Brandi Carlile on Hotel Cafe's holiday compilation Winter Songs on Sony/Epic.
Her LP Fascinator was produced by Al Sgro (Meiko, Gary Jules) and mixed by Darrel Thorp (Beck, Radiohead).
Holly's first national tour was in the fall of 2010, opening for now two-time Grammy-winner artist Sara Bareilles, whom she joined on stage for her set each night. Early 2011 saw Holly touring the Netherlands in support of songwriter Laura Jansen, and that summer she toured the US and Canada, opening for Sam Bradley.
Holly later released The Sirens, in 2013, taking on the role of producer to infuse the LP with energy and synth-pop spirit.
It was around then she started Wake + Loom, her award-winning interior design business, but she still finds time to make music—producing and releasing Dust in 2019, and now in 2026 she's excited to be releasing Free. More on that soon!
